Over a century old, The Alberta Legislature Building is the center of democracy in the province. In my opinion it is also the cornerstone of Edmonton's Architecture scene. The outline of the legislature building always draws my attention when I look at the Edmonton skyline. The gardens surrounding the building made the perfect plein-air setting to paint from. I selected this vantage point to highlight the many rooflines, forms and contours that the building has.
